me running? no well jogging...

i went for a jog after years of refusing to. i felt like i need to run to get my mind away from things that i should not be thinking about at this moment on time. another reason might be that today is the star sign death anniversary of my grandfather.

well all i know is that tml i will have an achey breaky body! ahaha...just watched Attonment today and its a GREAT movie. Its about forbidden love and how that is destroyed by the jealousy of a young girl and how this love if further brought apart by WW2. I think its a simple story of the most human complications. The younger sister harbors her love for the gardener who is in turn in love with the older sister. After finding that the older sister and the gardener are in love, she blames him for raping her cousin. In actual fact the cousin was raped by the brother's friend. The guilt of doing such a thing to break and destroy people's heart, she lives a sad life. Guilt trodden she suffers within her own mind.

Ultimately, this is a story not of forbidden live but rather jealousy and guilt. She acts on jealousy and later regrets her acts. Time in this case cannot heal. The main actress is not Keira Knightly but rather the girl who plays her sister. It is rightfully her story of pain and regret. Pain that she had caused on 2 lovers, pain she caused herself to feel. The regret that the one who wronged was not brought to justice, the regret that her sister and her first crush never got the life they deserved.

Underneath it all, Mr Bob Armstrong (my lecturer) got one part right. It showed the class hierarchy of the Brits. But then again this hierarchy is not cause of anything else, but rather that this helps in the long run of things. Functional approach maybe, that everyone plays a part in the whole concept of life. the order of the brits, clearly seen in Indian culture also shows one thing. You are born into your way of life. You are who you are not cause of what you made yourself to be but where you are born into. This may not work else where. But think about it. Royalty and the rich get more chances in life than a beggar and this is not bounded by any sort of boundary. In any country you go to, the rich undoubtedly have more chances than the poor. please do let me know if you know somewhere, where everyone has equal chances.
