Warning

This is a warning to all parents who beat up their kids in public.

I saw a mother beating her 6 to 8 year old son. She dragged him into the NEL train compartment at Potong Pasir. She was screaming at him for some time before whacking the kid with her hard heals on his back. She continued to scold him and wave her slipper around his face threatening him. She then took her maid's umbrella and continued to poke him while he squats on the floor. She is oblivious to the fact that the whole compartment is staring at disbelief! The poor boy is sobbing and sobbing away. She threatens him again with her slipper when he does not stand up when she asked him to. I was wondering why no one told her to stop beating the poor kid. But i realised that she could turn around and start whacking the person who told her to stop. I took a video of her whacking the kid but I DID NOT SAVE IT! How can one person be sooo clever?

So the next time an adult whacks a kid in public, i will take a video/photo. I will then post it up and blog about it. Child abuse even if it is your own child is WRONG! What will happen to the kid when he/she grows up?

'Children with histories of maltreatment, such as physical and psychological neglect and physical abuse are at risk of developing severe psychiatric problems. These children are likely to develop reactive attachment disorder. These children may be described as experiencing trauma-attachment problems. The trauma experienced is the result of abuse or neglect, inflicted by a primary caregiver, which disrupts the normal development of secure attachment. Such children are at risk of developing a disorganized attachment. Disorganized attachment is associated with a number of developmental problems, including dissociative symptoms, as well as anxiety, depressive, and acting-out symptoms.'

Abuse is when you do something to the point of extreme to the child where it becomes torture, physical, mental or physiological. I pity the kid in the train. I could have done something to stop it, though i know i could not have done anything. But i hope that everyone who reads this will realise that abusing kids who are innocent and young is wrong. Children are the future. How will the future look like for them, who cannot trust anyone or lives in perpetual fear? Instead of seeing joy and laughter in their eyes, we see fear, pain, distrust and hate. They are not children. They were forced to become nothing but a shell to be used, abused and exploited. I pray that you do not do this to your kids or any other children. I pray that you stop those who do. Help the local authorities defend the children and bring justice to them.

Life is precious, especially so for children. Let them live to be one. Do not stop them from being one. Please!
